Where the rate comes from

✓ Official ECB figure We use the euro foreign exchange reference rates published by the European Central Bank every working day. The converter always shows the date of the rate it is using.

⚠️ Check before you travel It is a reference rate, not the one you will get: banks, cards and exchange bureaux add their own margin or fee. Use it to get an idea, not to balance your accounts to the cent.

The ECB does not publish a rate for every European currency; we offer no conversion for those it leaves out.
